Here is an easy to use XML Sitemaps Generator generator for your WordPress Website.

The easy way to add an XML Sitemap to your WordPress website is to use a WordPress Plugin which will automatically generate the sitemap for you.

Try to find an XML Sitemaps generator which can notify search engines about your new sitemap. This will save time by eliminating manual sitemap submissions to individual search engines.

The XML Sitemaps plugin I have installed on this blog is called Google XML Sitemaps by Arne Brachhold. I found out about Google XML Sitemaps plugin after hearing Chris Pearson mention it, so I decided to give it a go, and here is the sitemap that was generated.

How To Install

1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard and go to Plugins > Add New.

2. Enter the phrase Google XML Sitemaps into the search box.

3. Select Google XML Sitemaps by Arne Brachhold and click install.

Once Google XML Sitemaps is installed, it will automatically notify the major search engines about your sitemap every time a new post is created.

Why Have XML Sitemaps?

While the act of having XML Sitemaps does not give your website higher search engine rankings, it can improve your website traffic by allowing search engines to discover pages which have never been indexed.

If a web page has never been indexed, there is no chance it will ever appear in a Search Engine Result Page (SERP) which means it will never get any organic search engine traffic.

On the other hand, if a page has been indexed, there is a chance that the page can appear in a SERP for some search phrase. Therefore, XML Sitemaps are part of an SEO strategy because it provides search engines an opportunity to send traffic to pages previously unknown to them.
